PETS PASSING AT HOME
1. Make sure that the pet is deceased.
2. Contact your local cremation services or vet as soon as possible.
3. Place a towel or Puppy Pad under the tail and mouth of your pet.
4. You can let other pets smell the deceased pet.
What to do while waiting for cremation?
Keep the body cool: Put the remains in a freezer or refrigerator until cremation or other arrangements. Another option is to place the body in a cooler or bathtub and pour ice over the body. During cooler months, you may prefer to keep your pet in a secure, cooler part of your home like a covered porch or garage.
What happens to the microchip when your pet is cremated?
When your pet passes away and you choose cremation, the microchip will remain in their bodies throughout the process and be incinerated during the cremation.
What is left when a dog is cremated?
The intense heat and vaporization reduce the organic matter to dust and dried bones. We remove any surgical pins, rods, tags, pieces of collars, and other metal objects from the remains. The cremains are then pulverized to get a coarse sand-like uniform consistency.
With many burial methods, the smell of pet remains can be a concern. However, cremation's high temperatures do not leave any kind of scent. The remains you receive will be odorless and won't bear any scent of smoke.
Cremated pet ashes look like dust, sand, or fine gravel in off-white, gray, or brownish color. The final product of these processes are bones that are then turned to ash.
We provide a selection of quality products and exceptional customer service.
